Joshua Ma was born in 1978 in Hong Kong, China. He came to Houston in 1990 with his family and went on to receive his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. During his time at UT, Josh spent six months in 2000 for a work study program at the London
office of Kohn Pederson Fox Associates gaining valuable experience working alongside senior architects. After his graduation in 2001, Josh joined Jackson & Ryan Architects and has been involved in many aspects of project design and administration. He has been engaged in different types of
projects with Jackson & Ryan, including churches, libraries, offices, and animal shelters. Currently, Josh focuses his efforts designing and managing numerous animal shelter projects throughout the United States. In his spare time, Josh and his wife Susan are active participants with Jireh Bible Church in directing the youth ministry and serving in the music ministry.
