Margarita de Monterrosa was born in El Salvador and received her Bachelor in Architecture in 1994 from La Universidad Albert Einstein. As a Fulbright Scholar, she obtained her Master in Architecture in 1996 from the University of Houston. At U of H she has served as lecturer for Computer Aided Design and Drafting courses. Since joining Jackson & Ryan in 1997, she has become a key member of the firm’s 3D modeling studio.

She actively produces computer models, movies and virtual tours of proposed designs. Additionally, Margarita’s contribution extends to managing projects through the planning, design and construction stages.
In 2006, she was promoted to Associate, and most recently she has served as project architect and designer for the River Oaks Baptist Church and School,

Featherock Conference Center, and St. John Fisher Catholic Church. In June of 2009, she became a LEED® Accredited Professional and joined USGBC’s Greater Houston Area Chapter. In the past, she has contributed as a mentor for Latinas on the Rise, a mentorship and educational program designed to empower young Latinas to meet their professional and personal goals. Margarita is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
