Scarlett McKenzie received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. After graduation, Scarlett joined Jackson & Ryan Architects. She is an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects and is currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program pursuing licensure. In March of 2008, Scarlett was promoted to Associate Architect.

At Jackson & Ryan Architects, Scarlett has worked on a variety of projects, including the development of a master plan for the San Antonio Museum of Art, design of an athletic club and restaurant in Antigua, and Bo’s Place (a counseling center for children). Scarlett is actively involved in JRA social events like the AIA Sandcastle Competition. Scarlett led JRA, as team captain,

to win an award for “Best Architectural” at the Sandcastle Competition in June of 2008. She recently finished overseeing the construction administration for the Children’s Museum expansion, which opened in March of 2009. Scarlett is currently overseeing the construction administration for the new City Hall complex for the City of Southside Place, which will be completed in February 2010.
