The Antigua Gateway Master Plan involved redevelopment of 60 acres surrounding the V.C. Bird International Airport. The new Pavilion Restaurant was designed by Jackson & Ryan Architects, in collaboration with Canin Associates, in Orlando, and Stanford Development’s architectural and construction team in Antigua. The image of the Pavilion Restaurant recalls traditional West Indies architecture through the use of deep decorated porches, colorful metal roofing, horizontal clapboard siding, carefully proportioned windows with functioning hurricane shutters, and extensive landscaping punctuated with native stone retaining walls.
