Originally a residence designed by premier Houston architect John Staub in 1952 for the Masterson family, Rienzi and its extensive collection of European and decorative arts was given to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Jackson & Ryan Architects transformed the property into a museum with restored finishes and all necessary modifications to comply with codes as well as conservation and security standards.
