This regional shelter serves several municipalities in the Springfield area. Not only does it house stray dogs and cats in comfortable, clean environments, it also has a unique adoption mall where animals are displayed behind glass. Educational plaques and graphics are located throughout the adoption mall, encouraging school groups to visit the shelter and participate in animal care education. The shelter houses over 7,000 animals annually within 18,000 square feet.
