Guy Jackson, AIA
Guy was the co-founding Principal in 1986 and continues his full-time support of the firm as Principal Emeritus.
A fifth generation Texan, Guy’s family came to Texas in the 1830s. His forebears include an architect, builder, trail driver, and an officer in Sam Houston’s Army during the Texas War of Independence from Mexico. He is a member of the “Sons of the Republic of Texas” and “San Jacinto Descendants”.
He received the William Marsh Rice Scholarship in 1965 to pursue his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the School of Architecture of Rice University. At Rice he was senior class president, played on the baseball team and was an officer at Weiss College. He subsequently served on the Board of the Association of Rice Alumni and in 2015 received the Distinguished “R” Award of the Rice Athletic Hall of Fame.
During his 50-year career he has been the principal designer for high rise housing, stadiums, museums, schools, office buildings, churches, restaurants, extraordinary parking structures, assisted living facilities, urban and vacation houses, hotels, country clubs and master plans.
He is an avid golfer, hunter, and supporter of Rice Athletics.
