Houston, Texas
A 6,000 SF chapel was designed for Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, a nursery-through-12th grade private girls' school located in the wooded Memorial neighborhood on the west side of Houston. Seating for 250 was designed for flexibility to respond to the school's varied liturgical activities. The client desired an intimate space appropriate for children and a place where the spoken word and live musical performance would not require sound amplification.
