River Oaks Baptist has developed a comprehensive athletic program for its preschool to middle school campus. The design of the new gymnasium and playing field reflects the fact that land is limited and all facilities need to be as flexible as possible. The playing field serves a full middle school track and field program, including an eight-lane track and an artificial turf field. Artificial turf was used to accommodate the field's continual use for physical education as well as after-school athletics because it quickly drains rainfall so students don't have to wait for grass to dry. The gymnasium is sized as a gym and a half so that it can contain two full courts or six cross courts; it features a second-level jogging track and seating for 1,000 for an all-school event.
