Raul Baez

Raul Baez, Associate

Raul is a Houston native who brings a thoughtful, design-driven perspective to his work at Jackson & Ryan Architects. He joined the firm in September 2024 with 12 years of prior professional experience and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston in 2012. His approach to architecture has been shaped by an appreciation for buildings as living, useful environments that evolve over time in response to the needs of the people who inhabit them.

At Jackson & Ryan Architects, Raul has contributed to a diverse range of project types and pursuits, including work related to Congregation Emanu El, schematic design for the Children’s Museum, a middle school competition, a church competition, and additional multifamily and church-related projects. Prior to joining the firm, he worked on residential projects, which deepened his understanding of how people use, adapt, and experience spaces over time. He is especially drawn to schematic design and detailing and is valued for the strength of his design input and collaboration throughout the project process.

Raul believes adaptability should be an essential part of design and that the best work emerges through the integration of many ideas. He enjoys listening closely to the way clients describe their goals and incorporating their visions into spaces that are both meaningful and well resolved. Respected by team members, clients, and consultants alike, Raul is known for his collaborative spirit, strong design aesthetic, and keen eye for detail.
